Best Single Strollers That Can Convert to a Double Stroller
Baby Jogger 2012 City Select Single:
This is the best stroller from City Select Single line of products that can be converted to a double stroller. It has a quick-fold technology, and it is very easy to manage (for example, in your car). The parking brake is actually operated by hands, so you won’t have to use your feet to do it.
This is a perfect unit if you expect another baby in the future, but you don’t want to buy another stroller. The attachment mechanism is so easy, and you can assemble it in only a few minutes. Keep in mind that the attachment is sold separately (you can see it below in my City Select list). You can use this stroller right from the birth of your baby, and it is more convenient than a standard double stroller because it takes less width space.
City Select Single Strollers Which Can Be Converted to Double:
These are the top five convertible single strollers that can later be upgraded to a double one. City Select is one of the most famous convertible stroller brands, and these five are definitely the best in their category. You get second seat mount brackets, and the height of every seat is adjustable with these.
Britax B-Ready Convertible Stroller:
Britax is a very known and reputable stroller company. The B-Ready stroller unit is excellent if you need another seat, but you don’t want to buy another stroller. It comes in 9 colors so there’s lots of variety to choose from. I suggest you get it on Amazon, (click on the link), because you’ll save up to 35% (at the time of writing this).
Basically, this stroller converts to an in-line double stroller which can be configured in lots of different ways. You can also configure it as a double car-seat stroller. The rubber tires are foam filled and they are very easy for your baby to handle. It is quite heavy and bulky, but this is to be expected for a stroller that can be converted and set up in 14 different combos.
phil&teds Dot Buggy Single to Double Stroller:
This is an excellent model for inline adaptability. This unit is smaller than the two that I’ve mentioned above, but it also uses space in a better way. It’s made from 100% polyester and it’s one of the lightest inline single to double strollers in the world. It’s also tested for global safety standards.
If you’re looking for a small size, lightweight stroller that can be converted to a double stroller when you get another baby, this is the real option for you. The wheels are really good, and the overall quality of this unit is great. The only issue I have with it is that it is quite confusing to assemble at first.
Graco Ready2Grow Stand and Ride Stroller:
If your babies are travelling in a car a lot, you might wanna check this one one. This Graco model can be configured to accept two infant (Graco) car seats, and basically, it has around 12 combinations for your two children. The front seat carries up to 50 lbs, and the rear seat up to 40 lbs, but this is not set in stone.
Assembly is very easy, but keep in mind that this model is pretty huge. The material it is built from is a very durable plastic (don’t let this confuse you, the plastic this model is made of is VERY durable). It folds easily and the seats are very comfortable. The only problem with it is that when you fold it, it will become very long, so don’t expect this unit to fit in every car. On the other hand, it’s much cheaper than all the other models that I’ve reviewed above.
